During holiday seasons, the attention spans of your target audience are limited. When you have a little over 15 seconds to capture their attention, you must make every milli-seconds count.
So, how can you create a landing page that will (1) incite your prospects’ interests and (2) drive them to take actions
There are various ways how to launch digital marketing campaigns and creating a landing page is just one of those strategies.
What is a landing page?
Typically, landing pages only encourage their users to take one such action, like to fill out the signup form on the page, add to cart, or download an e-book. Why?
It’s because of what researchers call the “paradox of choice.” In simple terms, that means that the more options you give people, the harder it is for them to make a decision and act.
There is no secret formula for designing highly converting holiday landing pages. Various strategies can be equally effective and efficient depending on what you want to achieve (measurable goals) and who you are targeting (audience).
Whether you are designing #BlackFriday, #CyberMonday or #Christmas landing pages, here are the following essential elements you need to work on:
1. Write an extraordinary headline.
Your headline is where every journey begins – curiosity triggering, attention capturing, and sustaining. It says more about your brand, what you are offering or not.
Your headline should:
- grab the visitors’ attention
- tell the visitors your offering is all about
- be clear and concise and not more than 20 words
2. Use personalized and sweet sub-headline.
If your headline catches the attention of your visitors, the subheadline compels them to stay.
Your sub-headline should engage your visitors and make them connected to what they are reading. It can be written with emotionally loaded phrases like “mouth-watering food,” “breath-taking customer experience,” etc.
3. Create Immersive Design and Images
Visual content is what will immediately capture your visitors’ attention. Matter of fact our brain processes visual information 60,000-times faster than text.
Use immersive images, illustrations, or videos that your target audience can mostly relate to. If they are emotionally engaged, chances are they are going to take action. Remember, just because you could add more images does not mean you should. Keep your design minimal and focused. Too many elements can disrupt your visitors’ attention. Less is more.
4. Write a “problem-solver” body copy content.
The main content of your landing page should perfectly explain what you are offering and how it could help your visitor.
Get direct to the point and tell your story. Make it fun, exciting, and engaging. The most important thing you need to keep in mind though is that it should always be client-centric and benefit-oriented.
5. Use a powerful call-to-action
Your call-to-action is what will convert your visitors into paying customers. Make sure to use irresistible language phrase like “Save money now,” “Download your free e-book,” “Get a Free Audit.”
Keep the above mentioned essential elements and tips in mind to design attractive and powerful holiday landing pages that compels your visitors to sign up or buy.
